Hi – again! My full name is Anton Pavlovych Habuniia (If you ask – I’ll tell you the right pronunciation, but I’m completely OK with just Anton or even Tony).
I was born in 2003 in Ukraine’s capital, Kyiv. I went to an international school – Scandinavian Gymnasium, where I had learnt a lot of Maths, English, and my tertiary language – Norwegian. When the COVID restrictions began in 2020, I was in my final year preparing for the leaving exams. Back then I’ve set a target of scoring as high as possible – and I’ve done it! I’ve developed my own unique revision pattern – so I got 95% score on my maths paper and 98% on my English paper – which was the best result in my school.
After school, I’ve decided to pursue a degree in Maritime Electrical Engineering. My criteria for job choice were the fact that i did not want to move out of my home country permanently, involvance of my tech skills, travelling and a huge salary – in relation to the Ukrainian median of $390 take-home monthly. But my ultimate goal was to earn the capital to found my own business when I’m older and become an entrepreneur- to create jobs and drive growth for Ukrainian communities. I haven’t thought much about what niche I’ll be working in then, but I am a dreamer – thought I’ll figure it out later!
In 2025, I enrolled at Applied Mathematics program at Kyiv’s top STEM school – Kyiv Polytechnical.
I have a long-standing passion for a STEM field – I did excel at these subjects at school, took part in robotics contests and coded my own video games. However, I also deeply enjoy liberal arts – I love speaking publicly and debating, doing drama, doing art – in my instance, writing songs.
Being a tutor now allows me to combine the two passions – my students often tell me about how empathetic, well-spoken and lively I am compared to their past tutors. I love teaching and my students enjoy it as well – just return on the previous page and read all of the reviews!
With 5 years of experience, about 60 students under my belt, from whom 58 succesfully passed their exams (the two were Ukrainian pupils from a warzone who moved to England and had to prepare for GCSE in a month – they’ve still got admitted to college and now I help them taking their resits) – I am absolutely ready to be your best guide to the world of maths!
I’ll personally reach out to you within 24h.
